In a recent online marketing maneuver Google conducted an interview with international soccer star David Beckham. The central idea behind Google’s interview with Beckham was to introduce Google’s new social media outlet, Google+. Web marketing was a large piece of the interview process.

In Google+ the user can divide their email contacts into groups, or Circles as Google calls them, which they belong to. The interview was organized at Google’s San Francisco office in front of a live audience. They took questions from several of their participants across the globe and even linked their London office into a video chat where employees and guest from London could ask David questions.
